The Centre was set up in 2004 and is based at 11 Duke Street, Glasgow.
The principal activities of RCS Haven are:
- Educational centre: Having a status of SQA and EDEXCEL approved centre, RCS Haven provides home-schooled children and adults with facilities to sit exams.
- Working with families: RCS Haven runs Saturday schools which provide a wide range of activities for children such as languages (Russian, Arabic, Chinese) art, dance, drama and math lessons. Throughout the year families are invited to get involved in a wide variety of events.
- Supporting migrants arriving in Scotland: Our Centre gives Internet access and delivers face-to-face information sessions for newcomers. We provide welcome packs with essential information including available social services to foster the integration of those newly arrived into the local community.
- Training: We provide various training to help our customers secure employment.
- Cultural services: RCS Haven works to develop cultural links between Scotland and the East European countries. Our charity offers library services for those who want to uncover East European’s history, language, literature and culture. We hold a rare collection of old classic books.
