Greetings, and welcome to our bulletin full of information on exciting Russian events!
 
This is the February 2012 edition of the RCS Haven E-Bulletin. We hope that you had a restful and enjoyable January, particularly if you were celebrating the Orthodox Christmas and New Year.
As ever, this newsletter contains a round-up of Russian or connected to Russia events in Scotland and throughout the rest of the UK in the month of February and job vacancies
Meanwhile, here at RCS Haven our language and cultural classes for children and adults will continue in February. We are also able to offer a wide range of other services for our members: a well-stocked book and DVD library, art studio for children, web design, consultations in law, finance and other aspects of work and business in Russia and Britain.
 
Announcement from Russian School at RCS Haven
A new group of early development is starting from the 3rd March for children under 3 years old in Adelphi Centre. Lessons will take place every Saturday at 11.00 and last for one hour. Enrollment by email [email protected] or by phone 0141 5522144.

The following Scottish churches hold regular/semi-regular Orthodox services (all welcome):

Art studio for Children
Art lessons for children are undergoing in RCS Haven. Under supervision of experienced teachers, a professional artist and a specialist in early development, children study the basics of drawing and painting, language development and drama. All children are welcome on Wednesdays from 5 till 7 pm.

In 1921 Pasternak’s parents and his two sisters left Soviet Russia for Germany; in 1936-8 they moved to England to escape Nazi persecution.
