Russian Haven in Scotland has made a successful appeal to the Russian Federation's Civic Chamber Commission on Public Diplomacy and Support for Compatriots Living Abroad, receiving support in its plan to engage with the "Russian Corner" project.
The project was set up by the Civic Chamber and the Russian Peace Foundation in December 2014. Its principle aims include the popularisation, preservation and dissemination of the Russian language abroad through the use of state-of-the-art multimedia technology, interactive games and educational manuals.
Multimedia and printed manuals of Russian language and other subjects in Russian have already been delivered to educational institutions of Slovakia, Georgia, United States, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, India, New Zealand, UAE, Turkey, Estonia, South Korea, Ukraine, Croatia, and France.
