Greetings, and welcome to our bulletin full of information on exciting Russian events.
RCS Haven is welcoming anyone who is interested in studying Russian language, literature and culture. We have English and Russian language lessons. There are a library, Art studio for children and Web-design Studio.
Also, the Centre provides consultations in law, finance and other aspects of work and business in Russia and Britain.

NEWS
Russian Centre in Scotland ‘Haven’ welcomes everyone to celebrate one of the oldest festivals - the Russian feast called Maslenitsa – pancake week (just like Shrove Tuesday!)
A concert with singing and dancing, traditional games, celebrations and, of course, home-made pancakes!
Plus a raffle with lots of prizes!
All guests are please asked to bring pancakes and other treats.
Tickets are available at the door: adults £3, a couple £5, children of all ages free, however, if you can, please pre-order your ticket by dropping us a line to [email protected].
The event kicks off at 13:30 in March 1, 2014 in Adelfi Centre, 12 Commercial Road, Gorbals, Glasgow, G5 OPQ.
GATHERED TOGETHER is a new project working to support ethnic and cultural minority parents to become more involved in their child’s education and the school community.
We want to hear from all PARENTS/CARERS from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds about your feelings on education, schools and to find out what your rights as a parent are.

Russian Speaking Volunteers Wanted
Due to high numbers of Russian Speakers accessing Greater Pollok Integration Network's services we are eager to recruit a computer literate Russian-speaking volunteer to support it's work.
Volunteering On Tuesdays from 13.00 to 15.00 the role would include assisting people to access job opportunities online as well as helping them to design their own CVs.

Art studio for Children
Art lessons for children are undergoing in RCS Haven.
Under supervision of experienced teachers, a professional artist and a specialist in early development, children study the basics of drawing and painting, language development and drama. All children are welcome on Thursdays from 5pm till 7pm.
