Traditionally, the RCS Haven's Russian School marked the end of the school year with a trip to the outdoors.  "Orange Soup" is a story where the protagonist is a family. The author, Vera Mir,  shared her thoughts on how it is possible to live harmoniously despite being surrounded by instability and ambiguity. Repairing a relationship is possible at any stage. Family, according to the author, is not simply people coexisting but a kind of sacred unity.

Before Victory Day, on May 7 there will be an open lesson at the School of the Russian Centre in Scotland. This lesson will be provided by Victoria Ziyervogel, who is the teacher of the senior class. The main topic of the lesson will be great Russian battles, from 'The Battle on the Ice' to 'The Battle of Kursk'. Together with their parents, pupils are preparing project presentations about the heroic moments of Russian history.

Also, the Centre provides consultations in law, finance and other aspects of work and business in Russia and Britain.

RCS Haven will participate in a conference with a bottom-up approach organised by postgraduate students at the University of Glasgow's Department for Central and Eastern European Studies.   Glasgow Bound will… Explore what Glasgow is doing for migrants, and what migrants are doing for Glasgow; Provide a forum for open discussion about community integration; Give an opportunity for networking;  Learn about existing methods for breaking down barriers and what you can do to get involved!   The conference will take place 6 May 2016 at 9 Lilybank Gardens, Glasgow, G12 8RZ from 10.00 until 15.00    Programme details are available on Facebook event page, Twitter, and website  

  Dear fans of the Russian language, For the first time in the UK Russian Centre «Haven» arranges Тотальный диктант for those who study the Russian language. You are welcome on April 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. to test yourself, meet other fans of the Russian language. The access is free, and no registration is needed. It is not an exam, that is rather a test for fun and to challenge yourself. The level is about A2-B1. Members of the Russian Centre in Scotland Haven School were invited to participate in a competition organised by the London magazine "New Style" with support from Rossotrudnichestvo. In the first round, photos of the works were sent to the organisers. The best of the selected works will be sent to London by mail. The exhibition will occur from 22-25 April at Rossotrudnichestvo in London. One of the conditions of the competition was to place the works on the website and to provide the opportunity for all those interested to vote. The works that get the highest number of "Likes" will be given a People's Choice Award. To support our competitors and to see works by other contestants, you can visit the Facebook page until 22 April.

On the 2nd of April, School of Russian Center “RCS Haven” had the Spring concert. The whole event was enjoyed by our parents and it was nice to see the talent that the children have and how confident they were in performing in front of an expecting audience. The spectators were impressed by wonderful theatrical performances, children’s drawings and musical compositions. Both parents and children enjoyed the fun games and contests. The concert ended with a festive table with tea and sweets. Thank you all for your participation, for laughter and smiles of our children!
